Lisa asks…

Who should i pick up for Fox Fantasy Football?

I have to pick up a player for Mark Clayton because he’s out for the season.

Danny Amendola(STL), Roy Williams(DAL), Mike Williams(TB), or Steve Johnson(BUF)?

Mandy answers:

Mike Williams is getting red zone targets every game and is Freeman’s #1 receiver. This rookie’s stats will only get better as the season progresses.

Joseph asks…

Wide receive help!Eddie Royal, Brandon Lloyd, Mario Manningham, Mark Clayton, Micheal Spurlock, are available.?

On my roster are: Steve Smith(NYG), Wes Welker, Pierre Garcon, T.O., and Santonio Holmes. I can only really see Welker as a top receiver so any suggestions are welcome.

Mandy answers:

Either Eddie royal or mark clayton… Royal looks to rebound from a terrible sophomore season… Hes playing the slot so hes gonna put up welker kind of number… The rams look to be behind alot this season as usual, and sam bradford already looks to clayton… Manningham shares the ball with two other good wrs and micheal spurlock will probably do nothing for the rest of the season.. Drop santonio holmes bc if last night was any indication sanchez will be a bum…

Betty asks…

What do you think of my Fantasy Football team?

QB- Jon Kitna (Alex Smith BN)
RB- Willis McGahee, Clinton Portis (Tatum Bell BN)
WR- Steve Smith, Mike Furrey, Marty Booker (Isaac Bruce and Calvin Johnson BN)
TE- Antonio Gates (Desmond Clark BN)
K- Adam Vinatieri
DEF- Baltimore (Oakland BN)

Proposed trade: I send Isaac Bruce, I get Mark Clayton. I did this because there are so many other options on the Rams than Bruce.

Mandy answers:

When you ask a question like this you should definately tell us how many teams in your league and sometimes its good to say where you took each player.

Assuming this is a 12 team league I think you have a solid team, Kitna is way better on paper than on the field, He’s going to get good numbers.

I would definately upgrade your backup rb spot. If I were you I would scour the waiver wire for another rb or maybe trade for Ladell Betts to handcuff with Portis who is a huge injury risk.

Marketing Tools in Internet?

Hi!
Is there someone that know the % of persons that “click” in the annouces that are in banners, engine motors (google, yahoo, etc), links in digital magazines, and others
Thanks

Mandy answers:

Search Engine Optimization caters different services, from natural searches to paid searches. Usually, natural searches have the higher percents. Check out some info on the subject at this website. Maybe it will make it clearer what service you want a percent on.

Ruth asks…

What are some important considerations to make when using the Internet as a marketing tool?

Mandy answers:

Not to make item descriptions to long
easy clear layout, as bulletpoints instead of a large paragraph
always include images, which are clear and of a decent size, preferably with all sides
keep the page lively not dull
a search function
buttons to where they need to go, i.e checkout, main page

Daniel asks…

would you call a blog an internet marketing tool?

Mandy answers:

Absolutely! Some blogs get millions of hits per day. With that much viewing, you could do all kinds of marketing.

Lizzie asks…

Nate Burleson, Mark Clayton, Eddie Royal or Earl Bennett?

Current WRs: Steve Smith (CAR), Roy Williams, Devin Hester, and Steve Smith (NYG)

Mandy answers:

Get Burleson, he’s a big time sleeper, he could end up being the #1 for Seattle by the end of the year, Get Clayton too if there’s room on your bench, stay away from Royal and Bennett until Kyle Orton and Jay Cutler prove they don’t totally suck

Laura asks…

Who to Start at Tight End and Wide Receiver?

Santana Moss, Hines Ward, Mark Clayton, Malcom Floyd, Dustin Keller, Vernon Davis, Steve Smith (CAR)

Need to start:
3 WR
1 Tight End

normally jamaal charles would go at flex, but he as a bye this week.

Mandy answers:

I’ll start with TE, you can’t go wrong with Keller or Davis. This week Keller gets the Bills, who stink out loud, but Davis gets the Falcons who are actually decent. The only worry with Keller is if the score gets out of hand early and the Jets decide to run the ball for the rest of the game.
At WR the obvious starters are normally Floyd, the top WR in a pass happy offense, and Steve Smith, a perennial pro bowler. However, the Panthers just can’t get it done through the air this year, or the ground for that matter. Clausen had one of the worst pro football debuts in history, but managed to avoid an awful game by throwing a lot of short garbage passes to get some yardage and not end with a completion percentage of 20. Smith is a deep threat and has nobody to help him avoid triple teams, literally both safeties could play over the top of him and the rest of the defense could probably handle the Panthers. Smith has to go to the bench for most people until this situation gets sorted out, or they just don’t have anybody else to play. So start Floyd, bench Smith.
This would actually be easier if your other WRs weren’t all situational plays at worst. Clayton has been red hot for the Rams and I’m inclined to believe that production will continue. In Clayton’s worst game he caught 2 TDs and nothing else, but it’s hard to get receptions when you’re covered most of the game by Asomugah. The Seahawks have been running up the score, not sure how though as they don’t have a single fantasy starter, and with a high scoring game Clayton will get plenty of opportunities.
Ward is a great NFL receiver, but not a good fantasy receiver. If a fantasy league gave points for blocking then ward would take a jump in value similar to Wes Welker’s jump in a PPR league. Baltimore is tough, and historically Ward has done poorly against them. Also, a low scoring game, which is how Baltimore and Pittsburgh play each other, doesn’t lend itself to fantasy football.
Santana Moss is the #1 target in McNabb’s offense and that’s great. Moss is a speed guy who has always been a feast or famine guy because of it. However, McNabb is using him as the go-to-guy, which means that Moss isn’t just being sent on a 40 yard pattern every play only to never see the ball unless his corner falls down. Moss sees at least 5 targets a game and has been doing good work with those targets, he’s still a deep threat too.
I like Floyd, Moss and Clayton. Ward and Smith both have pretty rough matchups and iffy QB play, Batch played great and Clausen looked awful.

Donna asks…

Who should I start as my second WR in a 14 team league?

I have Steve Smith (Carolina) as my #1 but with recent injuries to Anthony Gonzalez and Hixon I’m stretched thin for a #2 WR.

My receiving corp consists of:
Michael Clayton (TB)
Bobby Wade (KC)
Chansui Stuckey (NYJ)
Ted Ginn Jr (MIA)
Josh Morgan (SF)

Out of these less then stellar performers, who should I trust to have a decent game this week and possibly as a #2 for weeks to come

Mandy answers:

I might start wade. The Chiefs have Cassel now, and he seemed to like wade. I think him and Bowe could both have big games this week even though they are playing Phili.

Michael asks…

Who should I start in week 14? Steve Breaston or Ted Ginn Jr.?

Which one of my recievers should I start for week 14? I like the Dolphons and I think they can make it to the playoffs this year. However, thir number 1 reciever Ted Ginn Jr. has not been very consistent this season. The Bills are allowing 205 passing yards per game but I have faith in Chad Pennington to get it done through the air and let Ronnie Brown (also on my fantasy team) take care of it on the ground.

Another team I really like this year is the Arizona Cardinals. Kurt Warner has been putting in MVP-like numbers which is due to his 2 amazing recievers Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald. But another reciever who has come into his own as a 3rd string guy is Steve Breaston. He is always an iffy fantasy start because of the fact he is the 3rd string guy but the Cards play the Rams this week and it should be a “gong show” to say the least and Breaston could get quite a few looks.

================================================

Available in the free agent pool:
TJ Houshmandzadeh
Braylon Edwards
Issac Bruce
Mark Clayton
Justin Gage
Chris Chambers

================================================
Should I start Breaston or Ginn of would one of the options off the pool be better?

Mandy answers:

I would go with Ted Ginn Jr…………

I personally like to take RBs in the first 2 rounds….Bulger in the 3rd is good….Brees in the 4th is the steal of the draft….I think S. Smith should be a 3rd at best….I dont like Carolinas QB or offensive scheme….Fantasy Football Rules…..dont know your scoring system but RB Marion Barber scores BIG.

Ken asks…

What should i do in my fantasy league?

Well i was wondering if i should trade Steve Slaton for Anquan Boldin or another elite receiver but i already know the owner of Anquan will accept. My current back up RB’s are Jamal Lewis Leason McCoy and Leon Washington. My WR’s are Bernard Berrian Dwayne Bowe Braylon Edwards Derrick Mason Sidney Rice and Mark Clayton. Also should i start Bernard Berrian over either Braylon or Derrick Mason? Dwayne Bowe is also in the line up of starters but im keeping him a starter all season.

Mandy answers:

Keep slaton

What I really want to know is: Do you have to invest some amount of money at all to become successful in this business? I do have some money but it seems risky and i can never tell when a site is a scam or not. Do the guides that some websites offer really help? This info would be greatly appreciated.

Donna asks…

Having an issue distinguishing our company.?

My partner and I have been working for the past year and a half developing a marketing system to help promote local businesses in a certain niche market (sorry wont say what the niche is). But when we go to pitch our service we are running into problems. First this is what we do:

Basically we have developed a website much akin yellow pages which only caters towards this niche, over the past year and a half we have become highly optimized for almost every category in the niche ranking in the top 3 spots in Google Yahoo and Bing (MSN). (outranking even yellowpages, yelp, yellowbook and others)

However we are not only offering a subscription into the directory (which gives the clients more exposure). We build each client a website, they get to choose their domain name, we create a custom classified advertisements to use, and we promote their businesses through Google Adwords, (this is done by having adwords drop the click through onto their listing page on our site.) In addition we give the clients access to a backend where they can track how many impressions their classified ads recieve, how many clickthroughs to their website, and a host of other statistical tools.

This is above and beyond yellowpages, in fact many clients we talk to say they spend 150-300 a month on yellowpages and recieve NO results.

We have a few clients who are very satisfied with the service, and it has helped them land additional business. In fact for most of our clients, only 1 job from a lead covers a months charge or more, and we only charge $50/mo promotional rate for 6 months then it goes to $80/mo from there.

Now here is the problem we face when trying to get new clients…. Many of you may have been cold called and pitched by some internet search engine optimization company that promises that they can get you on the front page of Google for a fee.. Most of those companies are shady and provide no results. For some reason when we start talking to people this is what they think we are doing… when in fact this is NOT what we are doing at all!

I’m kind of at a how I can effectively market our service without being confused as one of these shady businesses. Since this is not what we are doing.

Best text books or guides for introduction to Web development & Design?

My partner has recently started in a Project Management role for a Web Design/Development company and has no technical experience. I was hoping to buy her some beginner’s guide books as a gift to help build her knowledge to assist her at work.

She is looking for text books or guides(In a book format) that provides her a high level, not too technical overview on:
-Web design principles
-Web development lifecycle (Requirements, design, build, test deploy etc)
-Web development and hosting platforms (I.E Databases, coding languages, hosting platforms, front end pages etc and how they all work together to display the final product the client visualises)
-Search engine optimisation (Really important to her job apparently)

Basically, how the end to end process works from a client having a need for a new website to deploying the solution and helping them get the most out of their website as a marketing tool.

I’m struggling to find a book that seems to cover all of these topics in one.

There are plenty of Web design books, plenty of development language books but they all seem pretty technical and she is never going to be a designer/developer….So high level overview is fine.

HELP! Does anyone know of a great (Up to date) guide that covers these topics??

Help Needed Tips for Self-Advertising?

I just started a online home business with a phone company called G.V.I Solutions. My job as a affiliate is to refer people to my website. I get commissions for when they sign-up and then they become my customers, plus I get commissions for whoever they refer to and so on. Now this company have free marketing tools that I can use, but I have to do some self-advertising myself. So far I’ve been using the internet to do this. I just need some helpful tips that can help me. I would really appreciate it!!!! Thank you

Mandy answers:

Build your profile in an area of expertise on Yahoo answers and other forums. Gain peoples trust, then the odd time, refer them to your website.

Also try Twitter and Facebook statuses relating to the site.

Google adwords are pay per click. Find words where people who click on the ad are likely to use your service (so you aren’t paying for many people who don’t use you).

MLM Lead System Pro does it work?

I am trying to sell herbal products and i really need to know how to generate leads besides flyers all over town. Everytime i hit a search engine i have noticed that i get an email saying buy this etc to generate leads. I also notice it may not be the same company but the same gimmick. Can someone advise if they used the MLM Lead System pro and got some decent results. From what I am gathering it looks like you are promoting their business and barely your own. I want someone to review my products. I have lost tons of weight and i actually really want to share what i learned with others. I dont have much money and i know you have to put out a little money out to get leads besides the social networking but i really want to be sure if i put out money it generates at least what i paid for it. Please yahoo members and not someone trying to sell this product from MLM. I already have tons of those emails by falling for one of their ** FREE MARKETING TOOLS. Do i need to buy my own softwear? thanks Yahoo you always help.
Also i got emails from optmpress as well so please no more emails from this company as well. I know you have to put money somewhere but i really need to be sure i put my money in the right place. I am on facebook , craigslist etc. How long does it really take to see some results in the small leads i get would also be helpful. I know it takes time to sell i have energy but the MLM lead program was almost 45 minuets and when i found out it was another sell I was fit to be tied** I am not mad at their marketing but i just need to know is this the only way to get real leads besides on the street passing out flyers all day. someone is making money and it has to be not just facebook. thanks!!

Mandy answers:

You are correct to be skeptical. The “Lead System” won’t bring any actual buyers to your herbal-products website. You might get some visits by “bots” but no real human beings. It is a waste of your money.

The explosion in the number of websites has made it difficult to find buyers for any products. Then there is the worst economic conditions in 70 years.

You do not need any software to promote your website. It won’t work.

Make up bumper stickers with your website name. Pass them out to friends. If you have a good diet, call the Dr.Phil and Dr. Oz television shows and offer to appear.

How do I use Facebook and Twitter to get business for my health consulting business?

I’m attempting to market a service, helping those recovering from cancer to accelerate their healing.
I hear of people using Facebook, Twitter and Blogging to publicize their businesses but I have no idea how to do this?
Is there anyone out there who knows from experience how best to use these tools to get well known fast?
Also, how should I get my service to come up on search engines?

Mandy answers:

When you tweet alot happens. Bots pick it up.. And more. I wrote and ebook on the subject which was picked up by another site: http://www.runningonlinebusiness.com/twitter-gain-traffic/

What are your must have tools for your internet marketing methods?

When it comes to what you do everyday what tools are you always reaching for to speed up the process?

Mandy answers:

For keyword research I start with Google keywords – I add all the result and paste them in Market Samurai – and see all the high volume and low competition.
Than I continue basically in MS until I need to start looking for backlinks, which I use Keyword Elite.
I would subscribe to www.seomoz.org for more tools to monitor your progress online.

George asks…

Do you think these Internet marketing tool reviews are accurate?

Do you think the Internet marketing tool and guide reviews on http://gradingwebmasters.com are accurate?

Mandy answers:

It looks like they have a listing of programs that are good and you can use to compare.
However depending on how familiar you are with internet marketing, reviews like that might not be very useful. Any program that you purchase doesn’t provide you all the required marketing tools, because they specialize in a few aspects only.

Internet marketing tools can be broadly classified in two categories:
1. On Page & 2. Off Page factors.

On Page – meaning it is on your page – factors like: Keywords in your Domain name, Headline, Description, Content. You need to optimize this to get a high Google Page Rank.
If you are not on page 1 of google search it is harder to earn money.

Off page factors has mainly to do with the backlinks, links from other web sites. The higher the authority of the web site, the higher your page will be ranked.
Let’s say if your web sites has a link from you friend’s site that is a new site, you will not get much credit for this. But if you have a backlink from a site with a Page Rank of 8, you will be ranked higher.
So the key is not quantity but quality, it is something like if you hang around with popular people, you must be popular too. Google likes popular sites!
Some of the authority sites are Wikipedia, DMOZ and all .edu and .gov (education and government sites – however, they usually don’t allow links to commercial sites)

These are just a few things you need to know first. So don’t purchase any program until you are familiar with all the basics of internet marketing and are quite comfortable to do it.

To learn on how to build a website in your spare time and develop it into a profitable one, you can access the free training – Ebooks and videos – at http://www.internet-marketingtools.biz/

Once you learn the basics, then you are better equipped to choose the best program for you

Hope this helps

Lisa asks…

Internet marketing tools?

Do all those blasters/submitters (classifieds, ezine, blog, message boards, article, safelists etc) really work?
Has anyone had any good experience with them? Over the last week I was just about to buy some of them but something stopped me right before making the payment. Something that told me to do a little research about them before buying. And to my surprise most of them were scams or pieces of software that were spamming the above mentioned websites (safelists, classifieds, blogs aso)
If anyone knows any such marketing tool (blaster/submitter) that it’s returning them good results without spamming, please do share!
Thanks!

Mandy answers:

Hello. I have experience using a good bookmarking software, called Bookmarking demon. Using a software can help you save time. Though sometimes doing it manually is also good. Basing on my experience it worked well in boosting my websites pr and google ranking. In avoiding spam you need to always be aware of what you are doing, submitting duplications are the ones causing spam. If you are doing it right and ethically you will not be spammed.
